GreenIT Pickup provides services exclusively to businesses, organizations, and institutions. This privacy policy applies to business contact information provided in the course of requesting our services. We do not collect personal information from consumers or residential users, as our services are exclusively business-to-business.

This policy is maintained in compliance with applicable federal, state, and local privacy laws, including the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act (TDPSA) to the extent applicable to our business-to-business operations.

  • Pages visited and time spent on site (via Cloudflare Web Analytics — cookie-free and privacy-respecting)

We use business contact information to:

4. SMS Communications

By providing a mobile phone number and scheduling services, you consent to receive service-related text messages from GreenIT Pickup, including scheduling confirmations, pickup reminders, and service updates. These messages are transactional in nature and directly related to services you have requested.

  • Reply STOP to opt out of text messages at any time

  • Standard message and data rates may apply
  • Opting out of SMS will not affect your ability to use our services; we will communicate via email or phone instead

We do not send marketing or promotional text messages. SMS communications are limited to service coordination related to scheduled or active pickup requests.

5. Data Handling of Transferred Equipment

Storage media contained in equipment transferred to GreenIT Pickup may be overwritten, reformatted, or physically destroyed as an operational courtesy. GreenIT Pickup does not access, review, copy, or extract data from transferred equipment.

Businesses requiring documented data destruction services with formal certification and chain-of-custody reporting should contact ExpungeData (expungedata.com), a separate and independently operated service with its own privacy policy, terms of service, and fee schedule.

6. Photography

As described in our Terms & Conditions, the Company may photograph equipment and pickup activities for use in marketing, promotional, and informational materials. Photographs will not include identifiable company branding, signage, proprietary information, or personnel unless separate written authorization is obtained. You may opt out of photography by notifying the pickup crew or the Company prior to or during the pickup.

7. Information Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade your business contact information to third parties. We may share information with:

  • Service partners: Logistics and pickup coordination partners who assist in fulfilling your service request
  • Communication providers: Email and SMS service providers used to send service confirmations and updates (information shared only as necessary to deliver communications)
  • ExpungeData: By referral only, if your business specifically requests certified data destruction services. No information is shared without your express request.
  • Legal requirements: When required by law, regulation, legal process, or enforceable governmental request

8. Data Retention

We retain business contact information for the duration of our service relationship plus seven (7) years for business record-keeping and legal compliance purposes. Website analytics data is retained per Cloudflare's data retention policies and is collected without cookies or personal identifiers.

9. Data Security

We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect business contact information, including:

  • Encrypted data transmission via HTTPS/TLS for all website communications
  • Access to business contact information restricted to authorized personnel
  • Regular review of security practices and procedures
